Original Hardware includes Tear Drop Pulls and Several Skeleton Keys for the Working Locks. 7 of the 8 Panes of Glass are Original Wavy Glass, see pics. Top right pane has been replaced and reglazed.
The last 2 pictures show the wall papered back. Newspaper was used along the seems of the wood. Paper was the Historical Boston American Record, it is dated June 1886!
They took the time to Paper the Back, Absolutely Awesome! Tons of Storage space in the top and bottom. The top is resting on the base and can be moved in 2 pieces. This Piece was Owned and Used by a Doctor in Rockport, MA for 50 Years! Overall it is 87"H x 80"W x 24D.Top alone is 56 3/4"H x 75 3/4"W x 16 1/2D. Bottom is 30 1/4"H x 80"W x 24D. I can picture Soaps or Candles in this Piece. Shelves lined with Coffee and Accessories. Maybe Holding a Collection of Rare 1st Edition Books. One-of-a-Kind Piece that I wish could stay with me, but the Dealer in Me needs to sell the Best Pieces and make a living doing what I Love.
