There's a hasp and latch on the right side which makes us think that it's a medical cabinet. Add a padlock and you've got your own little secured cabinet. The cabinet measures 21" high and 14" wide.
The hinges are little pin hinges attached to the side of the door. On the lower right front of the door, there's a brass slide in the shape of a leaf that you rotate to hold the door shut. Inside, there's a little brass repair to the frame of the door where there was a break. The glass is held in by little silver (newer) nails and wiggles around as the door moves as the door is a little wiggly too. All in all it works well but is on the more light-duty side of things.Inside there is one shelf. The back is made from three boards. There are two little black loop hooks to hang the cabinet up on the wall.
These are newer to the piece. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, faded, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn, alligator-ed and patina-ed! Underneath the light green color you can see the wood where the paint has peeled or chipped.
This is everything you'd expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones.
