UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO RESTORE YOUR DAMAGED DENTAL CABINET. THIS SALE ONLY FOR A CABINET DOOR WITH TEXTURED GLASS PANE. In my hobby of over 35 years, I have enjoyed restoring and refinishing oak and mahogany antiques. Years ago I bought a mahogany 3-door dental cabinet top (see picture) and my wife thought I was crazy. I told her she wouldnt think so when I find a matching bottom section.
Three-door mahogany dental cabinets arent extremely rare, so I figured I would someday stumble across a bottom section and then assemble a fully intact and valuable dental cabinet. Well, my wifes declaration was certainly prophetic. I must have been crazy to think I would find a separate and intact matching mahogany bottom section! Over the years Ive met other dental cabinet owners who are missing a knob (replaceable) or a milk glass top (I tell them to fabricate a replacement by using opaque acrylic Plexiglas).
Ive also met owners who wish they could replace their broken cabinet-door/window pane, but you just cant. The pattern stopped being produced about 75 years ago. Im too old to keep searching any longer. I recently took it down from its shelf in my garage and had a different solution to my problem, one that would help both me and fellow collectors. I decided to disassemble my 1920s American Cabinet Co.
Dental cabinet top and separately sell the cabinet doors and milk glass inserts in another adv. For Sale: Three cabinet doors containing textured glass panes doors are 11 x 9 and panes within are 9 x 7 measured under the beading. If your cabinet glass pane is broken and your glass pattern matches mine, replace it!I have priced these doors according to what I would actually pay if I wanted to restore and display a beloved, but damaged dental cabinet. I hope you recognize that this is probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to be able to show some love for your adored antique. THIS SALE IS ONLY FOR CABINET-TOP DOOR WITH CUT-GLASS PANE!!
