All retain the original hand blown glass except one that is missing near the knob. There is a fine beaded edge around the door. Inside the top are 3 fixed shelves with grooves cut to hold plates. One of the shelves has slots cutout for silverware.The bottom of the upper section matches the shelves. The inside is finished in a soft green paint. The top has a simple cove molding NOTE: there are some small splits and minor repairs on the cove. The lower section has a pair of flat panel doors that have hand planed edges around the panel on the inside. Above the doors are a pair of drawers with hand cut dovetails.
The inside has a fixed shelf and is finished with the same green paint as the upper section. There is a nice shaped footed apron around the bottom.
The backs of the cabinet have random width pine planks that each have a fine bead on one edge. The boards are attached with hand wrought nails. The wood knobs are most likely a newer addition that have replaced the original hardware. There is a keyhole on the upper door but no lock is there.Age: Estimated Early to Mid 1800's. Region: Possibly New England or Pennsylvania. Dimensions: 42 wide at the widest point. The base is 33" Tall, The cabinet is 83" tall overall.
Each side measures 29-1/2 to the corner. NOTE: Many of our pieces come from estate sales so we do not have any history of the pieces.
